That title is because tomorrow I will show some “Crowded Views” (Not pleasant to me) of the beach as sort of a contrast and then the following day I will report on all my “Likes and Dislikes” of Punta Leona and why. And I know that one of these pix shows some of the crowds, but I included it here for the lush forest that Punta Leona has right up to the beach and the new maybe 15-20 story beachside hotel that is under construction on Mantas Beach as a part of Punta Leona Beach Club & Nature Resort.
Now some Mantas Beach views that I like . . .
When you walk from the current hotel, swimming pools, restaurants, and recreation areas, this is your first view of Mantas Beach, Punta Leona. Kind of nice I think.A little closer to the previous view and then closer . . .Boats & yachts anchor near Mantas Beach because in Costa Rica all beaches are public and they use it from their boats. This photo in included for the lush forests of Punta Leona right up to Mantas Beach. The tower under construction will be a Punta Leona beach hotel of it looks like 15-20 stories. Many of the people here walked down a trail from parking lots in a nearby village, again because all beaches are public. 🙂At the south end of Playa Mantas there is this little peninsula that separates Playa Mantas from Playa Blanca and you can climb over the peninsula hill to Playa Blanca, the beautiful white sand beach with an underwater museum and coral reef. Here it is seen at low tide. At high tide you wade through water to climb over the hill on all fours to the other beach. I did not try it. A steep, muddy climb! Guests of Punta Leona can take a shuttle to the beach a lot easier which I did on my previous visit, but not this time. 🙂
¡Pura Vida!
And tomorrow I will show some of the crowds on Mantas Beach.
