. . . was a wonderful experience in spite of the “off-season weather!”

Christmas Eve Dinner was super good! 🙂
Fountains throughout the gardens.
Read on for more pix and about the grand experience I had with my wonderful friends who run Xandari Resort . . .
Even on cloudy days you can walk both the garden and forest trails at Xandari in Tacacori, just north of Alajuela City and I did so morning, noon and night! 🙂
Winding paths take you through gardens and forests to waterfalls, flowers, wildlife and relaxation in nature.
I love it!
“And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.”

And each villa is a haven of relaxation . . .
Christmas Eve Dinner
My Living Room & Office
Terrace with tree full of birds!
A cozy sleeping nook.
A private courtyard in front.
Christmas Eve Sunset.
. . . and a container for original artwork, inside & outside.
Fountains throughout the gardens.
The feature piece in my room.
An indigenous mask.
An Angel watching over me.
Indigenous art outside.
Whimsical nature on my terrace!
It was cloudy most of Christmas Eve and all of Christmas Day, but I had a great time and made lots of photos that I will be sharing soon, including 13 species of birds and 8 species of butterflies! And I did not count the beautiful flowers. So stand by for more photos from Xandari, Alajuela!
And having fun creating photo art! 🙂
¡Pura Vida!
More photos coming in the next few days.

A wonderful place! I think we might have to visit there🙂
Steve & Lucy, as I said in the longer email response to this comment, yes, it is a wonderful place. But it is also one of or maybe the most expensive place I visit. And cost is the only negative! 🙂 You can have an equal or probably better experience for less than half the cost at Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails. Just a longer drive of about 3 hours to get there. 🙂
