And I’m a little late reporting on what was this past Tuesday, but thanks to those who wished me a happy birthday (July 4) from around the world! And it was, as always, happy when I’m in a rainforest! 😊 The photo is of the birthday cake the lodge made for me, decorated with local fruits and topped with a sign that translated to all English says: 83 – Happy Birthday! – Charlie – We wish you a happy birthday full of joy and you enjoy it very much. From: Esquinas Rainforest Lodge.

Thanks Ellen and if you ever return, Esquinas is one of many lodges I recommend for birds and other nature! A rainforest has no end to new discoveries! 🙂
Belated Happy Birthday wishes!
Julie
Much thanks Julie! For your wishes and for following my blog! 🙂 I enjoy your blog and your good nature photography! Your first name reminds me of my special needs daughter (autism) who was named Julianne but called “Juli” for short. She died of kidney failure in 1997 in Nashville at age 17 where I had single-parented her for the previous 7 years. She was the joy of my life then! And now it is nature in Costa Rica! 🙂
Juli was very lucky to have your love and care, I’m sure. I was a public school teacher for 34 years, mainly first grade. Special needs children are indeed special, and enrich our lives.
