Little Banner

Another new butterfly for me today! I first saw him/her from my kitchen on the outside of the window screen. I snapped a couple of shots and went outside for a different view in the garden but he quickly flew away. This is another tropical butterfly found in Central and South America. These shots will be just the second ones to be posted on butterfliesandmoths, when they are up (they were not a few minutes ago). 🙂 Here are four different shots:

¡Pura Vida!

You may be wondering, “Is this a butterfly blog now?” 🙂 Well, not really! But with the lack of birds in my yard (one naturalist told me that is because of the above average rain here this year) and me staying at home mostly now, butterflies are the most exciting nature I am seeing this time of year and I’ve seen many new ones like this. Wednesday I’m going to one of my favorite nature places near where I live, Xandari Nature Resort in Alajuela for just two nights but long enough to get some more variety in my blog posts, though Xandari has also been one of my best places for butterflies too! 🙂 We will see what happens there!
