Pizote!

Pizote is what everyone in Costa Rica calls this animal which in English is the White-nosed Coati. I see them all over Costa Rica and thus a lot of photos in my White-nosed Coati Gallery. 🙂 They remind many north americans of the raccoon, but are different in several ways, plus we have raccoons here, just not as many! Here’s four shots from Esquinas . . .

And now the Trip Gallery: Esquinas Rainforest Lodge 2023!

And/or compare with my:

Esquinas Rainforest Lodge 2018 Trip

Both galleries show why I like this lodge a lot! And for a different perspective on Piedras Blancas National Park, check out my 2022 Playa Cativo Trip Gallery where I’m on the Golfo Dulce side of the same park, not necessarily better or worse, just different with more water! 🙂 The rainforests of this area and across the gulf into Corcovado NP are all great for birds, butterflies and other wildlife along with other species varieties! Check out the South Pacific side of Costa Rica if you’ve never been there!

¡Pura Vida!
